Depression – and how others might behave

In my counselling work, I get to hear about the difficulties people with depression have in trying to explain what depression is like… to other people.

Don’t know what I mean? Try describing a sunset in ways that convey the feeling of the beautiful experience. A bit difficult, isn’t it.

So, here are some images related to depression… and some inspiring ideas on how one might behave towards someone with depression.

Eeyore – Clinically Depressed?

“One awesome thing about Eeyore is that even though he is basically clinically depressed, he still gets invited to participate in adventures and shenanigans with all of his friends. And they never expect him to pretend to feel happy, the just love hi anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change.”
