Clients seek counselling from an experienced counsellor, particularly one who is able to work with their particular needs. How an individual determines if a particular counsellor may suitable for them can be begun during an initial counselling session (often called the “assessment”).
Dean Richardson has worked in counselling services for over ten years, and started his own private practice in 2009. He has often been recommended to clients by word of mouth as a fully qualified and experienced counsellor who is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, working with your counselling needs as an individual in distress seeking counselling. He works with a wide range of clients – both individuals and couples – in counselling in the Portsmouth, Hampshire and Chichester, West Sussex areas.
All counselling begins with an assessment (a 50 minute session) – so that both you and Dean can assess if working together in counselling would be beneficial for you. After the assessment, both you and Dean will discuss and agree a focus for any counselling, plus the possibility of fixed number of sessions or taking a more open-ended approach.
